Authorities Respond

Fratricidal incidents within security forces are often linked to stress, prolonged deployments, and personal grievances. Authorities are expected to conduct an internal review to understand the factors that may have contributed to the tragic event.
The CRPF, one of India’s largest paramilitary forces, plays a crucial role in maintaining internal security, particularly in conflict-prone regions like Manipur. This incident underscores the need for enhanced mental health support and stress management programs for personnel deployed in high-pressure environments.
Further updates will be provided as more details emerge from the ongoing investigation.
