DETROIT, MI – In his first major executive move since taking the helm, new Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has appointed veteran auto executive Tim Kuniskis to lead all American brands and oversee marketing and retail strategy across North America.

Kuniskis will continue to serve as CEO of Ram, where he is currently spearheading a turnaround effort for the struggling truck brand. The move strengthens Stellantis’ U.S. operations by consolidating leadership under one of its most seasoned brand strategists.

The automaker also announced the revival of its Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division, a beloved performance unit responsible for high-powered Dodge and Jeep models. SRT engineers will now operate across Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, and Jeep, focusing on motorsports and high-performance vehicles.

“SRT is another box we needed to check,” Kuniskis said in a press statement. “We’re getting the band back together.”

Kuniskis, who returned from retirement late last year following the unexpected departure of former CEO Carlos Tavares, brings deep experience in product innovation. Under his watch, Ram is planning a massive product rollout25 new launches in the next 18 months, including the return of the V-8 Hemi engine in Ram 1500 trucks by early 2026.

This strategic shake-up reflects Stellantis' intent to reinvigorate its American portfolio, boost brand identity, and compete more aggressively in the performance and pickup segments.
