Dr. Priscilla “Dr. P” Kucer's Early Life and Education

Dr. Priscilla Kucer’s academic journey was far from conventional. Growing up, she faced significant challenges in school, particularly in reading and mathematics. Misreading information and struggling with spelling became a common occurrence, making learning a difficult experience. It wasn’t until she pursued a Specialist degree in School Psychology at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in the U.S. that Priscilla discovered she had dyslexia. This revelation helped her understand the struggles she faced throughout her academic life and recognize the coping mechanisms she had developed over the years to achieve success.

Prior to NSU, Priscilla completed her primary and secondary education in Barbados, later earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the West Indies – Cave Hill Campus. Her elective courses in human resources and business played a pivotal role in her professional development, providing a strong foundation for her career. Though initially pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at NSU, Priscilla soon realized her true calling lay elsewhere, leading her to switch paths and enter the School Psychology program. Her interest in organizational development and leadership, combined with mentorship and vocational assessments, later inspired her to pursue a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University.

Empowering Micro & Small Businesses with Customised Solutions

Priscilla Kucer Consulting Solutions (PKCS)

Four years ago, Priscilla Kucer founded PKCS, a global management consulting firm focused on addressing the unique challenges of micro and small businesses. Unlike many consultants who cater to more established businesses, Priscilla noticed a gap in support for micro-enterprises—businesses with fewer than 10 employees—especially those in their startup or early growth phases. PKCS was born to fill this gap, providing strategic advice and coaching to help these businesses improve their goals, processes, and operations.

At the core of PKCS's services is the OPLE System, a framework combining organizational development, personal skills, leadership, and education. By applying this system, Priscilla helps business owners understand how these components are vital for long-term sustainability and success. Her approach is summed up in her philosophy: Solutions+Actions=Results! (SoAR!)®.

PKCS serves a diverse range of industries, including beauty, finance, education, health, and nonprofit sectors, while expanding its target audience to include small businesses with up to 150 employees. The company has established a strong international presence, thanks to features in major outlets like WomELLE WomLEAD, Passion Vista Magazine, and CIO Today Magazine. Priscilla’s active involvement in organizations such as the Women’s Business Council – Southwest, combined with a robust social media presence, has helped solidify PKCS’s reputation in the industry.

Growth and Expansion: Taking PKCS to New Heights

Exciting Plans for the Future

Looking forward, Priscilla is excited about the growth and expansion plans for PKCS. The company remains committed to supporting the Weiss Scholarship Foundation and is planning to increase its contributions to provide education for children in Dago, Kenya. Additionally, PKCS is working on revamping its SoAR! Masterclass and SoAR! Summit offerings while researching international locations for retreats aimed at helping micro and small business owners thrive.

One exciting initiative includes organizing a retreat specifically for women entrepreneurs, aligning with the United Nations Development Goals (UN SDGs) focused on promoting gender equality, sustainable growth, and innovation. The SoAR! Training Institute will also see new additions, with courses on time management and management consulting launching soon. These self-paced online courses aim to provide actionable tools for business owners and entrepreneurs across the globe.

In addition, Priscilla plans to expand her Peer Advisory Boards, or Mastermind Groups, providing affordable, strategic advice to business owners through intimate group sessions. As PKCS grows, Priscilla is also looking to expand her team to meet the increasing demand for her services.

Achieving Milestones Amid Challenges

Achieving Milestones Amid Challenges

Reflecting on PKCS’s Success in 2024

Although the year didn’t begin as anticipated, PKCS still managed to surpass its goals for the first half of 2024. The company not only reached its target number of clients but also exceeded its revenue expectations. This success has allowed Priscilla to refine her OPLE System and further strengthen PKCS's consulting and coaching services. The addition of new certifications and partnerships has also ensured that the company continues to provide top-notch solutions to its clients.

Uniquely Positioned for Success: PKCS’s Competitive Edge

What Sets PKCS Apart in the Market

In a competitive market, PKCS stands out by offering a completely customised experience through its SoAR! With Coaching™️ program and consulting services. Priscilla’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that no two businesses are the same, and therefore, the solutions they receive should reflect their individuality. This level of customization, coupled with competitive pricing, ensures that even businesses with limited resources can benefit from PKCS’s expertise.

Building Effective Teamwork: Keys to Organisational Success

Creating Unity Within Organizations

For Priscilla, effective teamwork and unity in any organization stem from authenticity and clear communication. Leaders must ensure that their employees understand the company’s vision, mission, and strategic goals, while also being open to feedback as the organization grows. Priscilla advocates for placing employees in roles that align with their skills and interests, which fosters a sense of purpose and cohesion within the team. Building a strong, unified team is not a one-time effort—it requires ongoing attention and strategic planning.

Commitment to Innovation: Driving Sustainable Growth

PKCS’s Focus on Research and Innovation

Priscilla’s company places a strong emphasis on innovation, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that focus on economic growth and innovation. Research plays a critical role in all aspects of PKCS, from service design to market strategies.
